Kotowa Chakira is a standout single-origin coffee from the renowned Finca Duncan in Boquete, Panama. Produced by Ricardo Koyner, a third-generation farmer known for his experimental spirit, this lot features the Chakira variety—an unidentified Ethiopian cultivar discovered in Koyner's own nursery. After years of careful observation and testing, this natural process harvest has revealed a profile that leans distinctly Ethiopian, characterized by vibrant fruit and remarkable clarity. The result is a refined and tea-like cup that combines the delicate sweetness of peach and cherry with the structured, tannic finish of black tea, marking a significant milestone for the Koyner family’s multi-generational legacy.
